The first time I’ve ever done urban exploration was in Finland when I heard about this area where all these summer houses were just abandoned after there was a fire many years ago. It was a little difficult to get there because I had no vehicle so I had to take a couple different forms of public transportation in order to get there. When I finally did, I was not disappointed.
Imagine walking around a forest with no signs of life in sight. It seems like the the perfect place to hide a body. Dead silent. Then you see that first abandoned house. It’s straight for a horror movie.
There is something very exciting about discovering these places and it’s a perfect photo opportunity. It’s different. It’s a thrill! My fascination with urban exploration has only grown. So I’ve compiled 30 images of abandoned places in hopes to inspire you to take on the challenge of discovering these lost artifacts. Locations are not named. Half of the fun is using your detective skills to find these locations on your own. Enjoy!
